This is a reading passage taken from Module 6 ( B 3), which

introduces the three gorges dam. Through learning the passage, students will know the purposes of building the three gorges dam, have a general idea of its advantages and disadvantages and improve students’ speaking, listening reading and writing abilities.

 

 

 

The

Analysis of

the

Students

1. Students in Senior One have limited vocabulary to describe the construction projects, so according to their characteristics, I design some simple questions to encourage them to have confidence and work harder.

2. Reading comprehension is a most important part for Senior One students, so I specially design task-based questions of different types to improve their reading abilities to let Ss understand the text well.

Rules for the tasks:

In the first round,each group will receive a task-based card. When you finish, you come to the teacher with your paper done.If your group get your answer right,you will move to the second round with another card until your group finish all the tasks.

Every member comes to the front in turn.

Note:The settings of all the tasks are progressive and the difficulty is also increasing.
